Fernandes FR-65 1989 MIJ
Introduced as a mid-range instrument in the mid-80s, FR-65s came equipped with some of the best Gotoh hardware and finish options.
This ‘Blonde’ example was made in Japan in 1989. It boasts:
-A gorgeous unmarked maple fretboard and jumbo frets.
- fretwire in decent shape, although showing signs of slight wear between the 12th & 24th frets.
- Standard Fernandes pickups, which sound powerful with plenty of bite.
-Great licensed bridge - the FRT-4B performs perfectly with all parts in good working order.
-Hardware is largely undamaged with only a slight amount of oxidation on the saddles of the bridge and lock bolts.
This guitar is in very good condition for its age. The original white finish has yellowed slightly over time as is common with vintage guitars, but still looks fantastic. Some edges display a slight fade to the undercoat. Some light grazing to the top horn (near the strap button) shows but is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the overall look of the body.
Extras:-
Recent setup and polish.
New unbranded hardshell case included
